Fall & Trunk or Treat

Savannah was Snow White for Halloween this year. We started off a week before Halloween going to Trunk or Treat at my mom's church. Then we went to Trunk or Treat a few days later at our church. Then Savannah had a halloween party at her school and went trick-or-treating at the other classrooms. We went out of town for Halloween since we'd already had our fill of trick-or-treating and more candy than we could ever eat.

Potty Trained!!!

Well, Savannah is finally done with diapers (except when she sleeps). She's been wearing "big girl pants" for about 2 weeks now with very few accidents. She really did it all on her own. She became interested when she kept seeing another girl at her school use the potty and she was finally just ready. I can't believe how easy it's been. The only time I don't like it is when we're at a dirty public place and she has to go, but I'm still glad she's done. I just couldn't bring myself to post a picture of my child on the potty for all the world to see , so that's why this picture is not at all related to potty training!

Chattanooga

We took Savannah to Chattanooga this past weekend to visit the aquarium and the kids museum there. I've been wanting us to go since last summer and we finally found a weekend that Michael could get away. It was a quick trip but we really enjoyed it! I ended up putting way too many pictures on here, but we did so much while we were there that I had a hard time narrowing it down.

Some pictures from the aquarium

Savannah and daddy taking a break.

Enjoying some ice cream after supper

Pictures from the museum (ignore the red paint on her forehead in some of these. she grabbed the face paint when we weren't looking)

Mother's Day Out

Savannah started her first day of "school" last week and she's doing great. These pictures were the morning of her first day. The only way she was going to pose for a picture was if I'd let her sit on her little 4-wheeler, so this is all I have. She hasn't cried once. She walked right in the first day without hesitating. She has only napped once so far and that was only about 30 minutes, so I'm hoping she'll get better at napping while there. She really seems to enjoy it and randomly tells me about things that happen at school. She won't usually tell me anything if I ask questions, so I just have to wait and she'll tell me things here and there that she thinks of. It has really been great to have some time to do things on those days she's gone!

Williamson County Fair

I'm just now getting around to posting about our trip to the fair last week. We went last year and they have such neat things for kids to do, so we decided to brave the heat and go again this year. It was well worth it, of course. Savannah loved feeding the animals and she rode her very first ride by herself. She loved it.

Pigtails

Savannah's hair has taken soooo long to grow. But it's finally getting some length to it. The other day I decided to try pigtails and I couldn't believe it actually worked. You can tell she loved it by the way she's grinning for the camera!

New Playhouse

I've been looking for a used playhouse for Savannah for a few weeks and my mom finally found one at a yard sale the other day. So I told her to buy it and Savannah has really enjoyed it. Here's a picture of her face when she first came out to see it and then some pictures of her playing in it. We put a little chair in there and she can just sit and play forever!
