We went to Opryland hotel earlier this week to see the lights and see Santa. Here's a few pictures from our time there.
Savannah did okay with Santa. She didn't cry (at least not at first) but she refused to smile. I'll have to scan the pictures and post on here later. We're going back to Opryland tomorrow night, so we may have some more pictures. We're busy getting ready for Christmas around here. Hope everyone else is enjoying this holiday season. This morning Savannah even said to me, "Wish you Merry Christmas". It was so cute.

Catch Up

I really dont' even know where to begin. We've just been staying busy with the usual stuff around here. I'll fill you in on some new things with Savannah b/c I'm afraid if I don't write them down I'll forget all that she's doing at this age. She is so much fun right now. She can say absolutely ANYTHING!! It's unbelievable really. She is putting 3 words together at a time. And she never forgets anything we tell her. We only have to tell her once and she remembers it forever. I feel like we have great conversations all day long, b/c she can communicate so well. She is sweeter than ever right now too. She gives lots of hugs and kisses and even says I love you quite often as she hugs us. We're trying to prepare her for Christmas and if you ask her what Santa is going to bring her, she says "toys". She can say christmas tree, snowman, santa claus, ho ho, reindeer, ornaments....she's learning quickly about Christmas.
Savannah has become quite the little helper lately also. If she sees the least little mess on the floor, she says "Towel...clean it" and she will go get a kitchen towel and proceed to try and clean up the mess. She's always bringing me things she thinks I need and really is trying to be so helpful. She LOVES to write or draw on anything. You give her a pen and some paper, and it will keep her busy for a long time. Oh, and when I am getting her dressed or holding an outfit up to her to see if it will fit, she says, "cute, cute". And when she cries, she says "I know, I know it" over and over b/c that's what I do to console her if she's ever crying. It's so funny.
I'm sure there is a lot more I could write about what she's doing right now, but this is a good summary. I've included some pictures I've taken over the last few weeks. It's really hard to get her to be still for a picture these days, so I just have to take what I can get.

Pumpkins and Puppies

I'm so behind on blogging that I'm not even going to attempt to play catch-up. I'm just going to post a few pictures of what we've been doing lately. The first few are from the pumpkin patch we went to a few weeks ago. The last ones are of our new puppies. They are 5 weeks old right now and we plan to give them all away. So if anyone is looking for a puppy, let me know. The mom is a full blooded golden retriever and the dad is a mutt! They're soooo cute though! Hopefully I'll get pictures from Halloween up later this week and I'll try to not be such a terrible blogger!

We were busy the last couple weeks in August with horse shows and after that just trying to catch up again after being gone so much. Most of these are pictures from the Celebration in Shelbyville.

15 Months

Savannah had her 15 month checkup yesterday. She weighed 21 lbs., 11 oz. and was 31 inches tall. The doctor was VERY impressed with how much she talks. She even looked at the dr. and called her "doctor". No other big news around here. Savannah is just learning more every day and getting into more each day. She even walked up to me yesterday and said "diaper". She was letting me know she had a dirty diaper. I hope this means she will be easy to potty train since she's already letting us know these things!! That's all for now. I've got lots to do while my sweet girl is still napping.

Williamson Co. Fair

The pictures below are from this past weekend at the Williamson County Fair. That's where Michael's horse show was this weekend, so we decided to let Savannah enjoy part of the fair while we were there. Most of these pictures are from a little farm they had set up. It was really neat for kids. She got to walk through with a little apron on and collect lots of fruits and veggies for her basket and at the end, she had to "sell" everything she had collected and received some fake money that she could use to buy something. Savannah bought animal crackers with her money. It was really cute. We also enjoyed the petting zoo afterwards.
