Savannah's been sick for almost 3 weeks. It's really just a runny nose right now, but when it started 3 weeks ago, she was running a fever and felt miserable. She wouldn't sleep at night in her own bed...and now 3 weeks later, she still won't sleep in her own bed. Even if she falls asleep in our arms, once we go to lay her down, she immediately wakes up screaming! That has left little time to do anything since one of us has to be holding her at all times when she's asleep.
We leave for Florida first thing in the morning, but I know that next week we're going to have to get her back in the habit of falling asleep on her own and sleeping in her own bed. I'm not looking forward to it, but I know it's got to be done! She's still the same happy baby as long as she's awake. She's soaking in EVERYTHING. It's amazing to watch her learn new things. She's saying quite a few words now and also really understands so much of what we say. She seems to be more affectionate thse days and says mama ALL the time, which I love! She is not even close to walking (at least I don't think she is). She refuses to even stand alone b/c she's so scared. I have a cautious little girl! There are times that it would be very convenient if she could walk, but I know it will come soon enough and then I'll really have my hands full.
I have more packing to do for our trip, but wanted to leave a quick update. Hope everyone has a good week!
